The organizers of Stuttgart's WTA tournament has given Sharapova a wildcard to play on Wednesday, which is the first day she is eligible to play again. Sharapova returns after having served a 15-month ban after she was tested positive for meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open. However, the decision to give Sharapova a wildcard entry has received some mixed comments from other players.
