According to reports, the $3 billion Jaber causeway which connects Kuwait City to Doha is nearing completion. The main causeway across Kuwait Bay is 36 km and links the Shuwaikh Port area on the south side of the bay to the Subiya New Town area to the north, while the second bridge is  the 13 km Doha link which crosses the south of Kuwait Bay connecting Shuwaikh Port with the Doha motorway is predominantly a marine bridge structure.
