Joseph Konur, a 72-year-old man from Kerala’s district, who came to limelight for building his own tomb in 2014, committed suicide on Monday. Konur, who was reportedly against religious malpractices and extremism, allegedly hanged himself from the staircase of his residence. According to reports, Konur had asked the mason, who built his tomb, to clean it at the earliest. Meanwhile, his suicide note read, “The pain is unbearable, so I am dying. No one is responsible for my death. Bury me according to my wish.”
