According to reports, K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana might be one of the front-runners for Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s choice for India’s next President. Interestingly, the Chandrasekhar-led TRS party is seen as a friend to the Modi govt, as it was a firm supporter of the demonetisation move. Notably, current President Pranab Mukherjee's term expires in July.
