Japan sends biggest warship to protect US supply vessel

Japan has reportedly sent its biggest warship to escort a US supply vessel which is heading to refuel the naval fleet within Japanese waters. This comes after North Korea threatened to sink the Carl Vinson aircraft carrier group and a US submarine, amid rising tensions in the region. The 249m-long Izumo can carry up to nine helicopters, say reports.
