According to reports, the dates for conducting Jallikattu in Alanganallur, Palamedu and Avaniyapuram of Madurai district are announced. In Avaniyapuram, Jallikattu will be conducted on February 5, while it will be held in Palamedu on February 9. Moreover, in Alanganallur, the Jallikattu date is fixed to be February 10. Notably, the Jallikattu will take place after three years of ban following the Tamil Nadu government’s emergency ordinance in support of conducting Jallikattu.
