The mandatory inspection on the first underground stretch of the Metro Rail began in Chennai on Wednesday. KA Manoharan, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety reportedly inspected four stations Thirumangalam, Anna Nagar Tower, Anna Nagar East and Shenoy Nagar, while the remaining stations until Nehru Park will be inspected on Thursday. “There are said levels within which the trains should run. We will monitor the vibrations and noise pollution levels. We will also check if these levels are within the prescribed range near medical institutions,” he said.
