American human-resources consulting firm Aon Hewitt, in a survey, has reportedly revealed that the companies in India would give an average pay hike of 9.5% in 2017, which is 0.7% lesser than the pay hike in 2016. According to reports, Aon Hewitt has also added that factors like Brexit, administration changes by Trump and the demonetisation move by PM Modi have tightened the salary budget. Notably, a single-digit pay hike was last offered in 2009.
