According to a report by India Today, the Survey of India will re-measure the height of Mount Everest, after scientists expressed doubts over this due to the 2015 Nepal earthquake. Meanwhile, Surveyor General Swarna Subba Rao said "there is a doubt in the scientific community that it is shrinking. That is one of the reasons. Second reason is, it helps in scientific studies, plate movements."
