According to a survey by global anti-corruption organisation, Transparency International, India has been rated the country with highest bribery rate among 16 Asia-Pacific countries, while Japan was rated last. Further, the survey added that as many as 7 out of 10 Indians who access public services had paid a bribe, in contrast to Japan’s 0.2% of the respondents who were reported of bribing.
