India is reportedly planning to eliminate malaria by 2030. India is reportedly planning to achieve this by stopping the local transmission of the mosquito-borne infection. According to reports, India has termed this action as India's National Framework for Malaria Elimination. Notably, as many as 1.06 million people contracted malaria in 2015, resulting in 242 confirmed deaths.
