Heineken to buy Vijay Mallya's shares in UB

Dutch beer maker Heineken International has reportedly approached the banks to buy out all of Mallya’s shares in United Breweries that are pledged with them. Notably, Heineken and Mallya are joint owners of United Breweries Ltd, the maker of Kingfisher beer. Heineken owns 43.4% of United Breweries whereas Mallya holds 30%, most of which is pledged with banks.
