According to reports, Madurai bench of the Madras High Court has reportedly ordered Tamil Nadu government to formulate a special law for removal of Seemai Karuvelam (Prosopsis Juliflora). Condemning that only 10% of the trees were removed so far, the bench ruled that the special should be formulated within two months. Ordering the government to allocate sufficient fund for removal of Seemai Karuvelam, the bench condemned that some district collectors are not taking necessary actions. The bench also reportedly added that the trees should be completely removed within 15 days.
