The Madras High Court on Wednesday reportedly dismissed a petition that sought to declare former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s election from the R K Nagar constituency in the May 2016 Assembly elections as “null and void”. The judge reportedly dismissed the petition as abated after the counsel for Jayalalithaa informed the court about her death.
