The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has published guidelines for all states, allowing transgenders to use common toilets of the gender of their choice. The circular, also given to the Swachh Bharat Gramin Mission, asks for the community's support in Swachhta drives, and to hire transgender people to help better sanitation around the nation.
