Former MLA Kuppan, a member of AIADMK(Puratchi Thalaivi Amma), and others have reportedly been booked for allegedly disrespecting the national flag during an election campaign in R K Nagar constituency. The party members along with Kuppan, on Thursday, campaigned with a dummy coffin with Jayalalithaa’s figurine mounted on the bonnet seeking “justice” for her death. The coffin, with a figurine of Jayalalithaa and the national flag draped on it, had the party’s ‘Electric Pole’ symbol on it.
