First UK-China freight train departs today

The first rail freight service from the UK to China will leave on its 7,500-mile journey on Monday. The train stocked with British goods will pass through seven nations including France, Germany, and Russia over a span of 17 days. The service is a part of China's One Belt, One Road programme of encouraging the Silk Road exchanging routes with the West.
