England beat India by 7 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series on Thursday. Batting first India managed to set a target of 147/7, courtesy of wicketkeeper MS Dhoni’s 36* off 27 balls and Suresh Raina’s 34 off 23 balls. England chased down the target in 18.1 overs, courtesy of captain Eoin Morgan’s 38-ball 51 and Joe Root’s unbeaten run-a-ball knock of 46.
