The Election Commission of India on Wednesday reportedly wrote to both Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav factions to show their strength among party delegates and MLAs, MPs and MLCs through signed affidavits. An official reportedly said that the EC had given them time until January 9 to respond.
