According to reports, the Election Commission has announced the date for the bypoll in the R K Nagar constituency on Thursday. Reportedly, the by-election will be held on April 2. Notably, the constituency fell vacant following the demise of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa on December 5 last year.
