Maharashtra Cricket Association curator Pandurang Salgaoncar has reportedly said that he was instructed by the BCCI pitch committee members to shave off the grass cover on the wicket before the first Test between India and Australia at Pune. Salgaoncar also added that they never cut the grass as it would not bind the wicket, but he was instructed by BCCI to do so.
