Tamil Nadu on Monday defeated India A by 73 runs to qualify for the finals of the 2017 Deodhar Trophy in Visakhapatnam. Batting first, Tamil Nadu posted a competitive total of 303 for 6, courtesy of yet another stellar performance by Dinesh Karthik, who went on to score 93. India A was bowled out for 230 despite Mandeep Singh’s 97, as Tamil Nadu bowlers Sai Kishore and Rahil Shah grabbed three wickets each. Tamil Nadu, who won the 2017 Vijay Hazare Trophy, will now face India A in the final.
