The Marylebone Cricket Club on Tuesday confirmed a new code of laws to be introduced in October 2017, with one of the laws stating that the thickness of a bat to be restricted to 108mm in width, 67mm in depth with 40mm edges. Notably, Australian vice-captain David warner's bat will be outlawed under the new rule as the current willow he uses in Twenty20 matches is pretty high to the given ratio. These rules were concluded by the MCC world cricket committee.
