A State Bank of India report, released recently, has revealed that around 44% of the banned notes were replaced by new high denomination notes by December 30, 2016. The report also added that the currency supply in India will likely return to near normal by the end of February. Notably, according to a data, 9.4 lakh crore new notes were in circulation on December 30.
