Companies ink deal with Ministry over hydrocarbon extraction

Around 18 private companies and 4 PSUs have reportedly signed a deal with the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas over the hydrocarbon extraction projects across India. According to reports, the deal, which was signed in the presence of Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, will allow the companies to extract hydrocarbons in 31 contract areas, including 23 onland and eight offshore areas.
