Coimbatore airport reportedly received a letter threatening to trigger a bomb explosion in the airport premises on Saturday. According to reports, the letter, sent under the names Bhaskaran, Gouri and Chandrasekaran from Anna Nagar in Coimbatore, threatened to cause explosions if the teaching community’s demands like pay parity with the Central government staffs and teachers are not met by the government. Notably, police have strengthened the security at the airport and investigations are going on.
