A Chinese national, working at the Noida unit of Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Oppo reportedly tore the Indian National Flag and dumped it in a trashcan on Tuesday. This incident triggered protests by hundreds of Indian employees. Over 200 police personnel were deployed outside Oppo’s manufacturing unit to bring the situation under control. Noida police have filed a case against the Chinese employee. Oppo has also acknowledged the 'incident,'  and said it 'deeply regrets' it.
