According to a recent Census data, the Christian population in Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur have witnessed a rapid increase. Arunachal Pradesh’s Christian population rose from less than 1% in 1971 to more than 30% in 2011, while Manipur’s population rose from around 19% in 1961 to over 41% in 2011. Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh RSS leader Nido Sakter has said that the role of missionaries who convert people cannot be denied.
