Aravinda Pillalamarri, a 47-year-old Indian-American woman, was reportedly questioned on immigration status by the police officials in Los Angeles. According to reports, the official asked her several questions and stopped her saying that she was under criminal investigation. She was also asked by the police, whether she was living illegally in the US. Notably, Pillalamarri and her husband Ravi Kuchimanchi were the inspiration for the Shahrukh Khan’s Swades movie.
