According to reports, necessary approvals and sanctions were not obtained by Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Yoga Foundation for the construction of the 112-foot Adiyogi statue of Lord Shiva in Coimbatore; the Tamil Nadu government informed the Madras high court on Wednesday. TN government also added that other buildings like the arch, and the road and parking lot were also built without clearance. Notably, PM Narendra Modi unveiled the statue on the occasion of Mahashivratri, while Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi Palaniswami also attended the event.
