Lokpal's appointment won't be possible as amendments about the definition of Leader of Opposition are pending in the Parliament, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has reportedly informed the Supreme Court. He stated, “The Lok Sabha has declined to accept Mallikarjun Kharge as the LoP.” The Leader of the Opposition post was not granted to Congress as the party lacks requisite number of MPs in Lok Sabha, he said.
