Anna Salai road cleared patch safe after inspection

Anna Salai road cleared patch safe after inspection

Fresh cracks appeared on Tuesday on the arterial Anna Salai road in Chennai close to the spot where a stretch caved in suddenly two days ago and trapped a bus and a car. Authorities deployed drillers to ascertain the depth of the cracks and declared the road fit for motoring. State Finance Minister D Jayakumar said that the authorities would take the incident as an experience to prevent such occurrence in the future.
