Airport in Portugal named after star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo

According to reports, a local airport in Portugal’s Madeira Islands was named after its national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday. The Real Madrid striker was joined by Portugal's President and the Prime Minister, who unveiled a commemorative plaque outside the terminal entrance, above a bust of Ronaldo. The airport has been renamed to Aeroporto Cristiano Ronaldo.
