8 fishermen from Tamil Nadu's Pudukkottai district were reportedly arrested by Sri Lankan officials. According to reports, 7 of the fishermen are being held in Trincomalee in Sri Lanka, and the other one has been admitted to the Trincomalee hospital fisherman attempted suicide soon after being taken into custody. More than 50 fishermen are under arrest, and more than 130 trawlers are in the Sri Lankan government's custody, added reports.
