50,000 villages in India have no mobile connections

Union Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha on Wednesday reportedly told that around 50,000 villages across India are yet to get mobile networks. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Sinha reportedly said that many of the villages without mobile connections are located in the 'Naxal-hit' states. Notably, the government is in the process of implementing 100Mbps broadband connectivity to all Gram Panchayats.
