Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari has reportedly said that more than 30% driving licences in the country are bogus. Stating that the VIPs now get driving licences just by sitting at home, he added, the only way to remove these is to ensure that driving licences are issued only through a mechanism where a “computer will check the applicant's ability to drive.”
