As many as 24 bills were passed in the Lok Sabha, while 14 in the Rajya Sabha in the 2017 budget session in around 29 working days. The session also witnessed the passing of 18 bills, including the GST bill in both the houses. Notably, the Budget session which started on January 31, was the first time that the entire financial business relating to Budget was transacted before 31st March when the financial year ends.
