According to reports, at least 15 people have died due to swine flu in Tiruchi until now. Earlier, Tamil Nadu Minister for Health and Family Welfare C Vijaya Baskar attempted to allay fears saying the government was taking necessary precautionary measures and people didn’t need to get panic. In January, some swine flu deaths, including that of a couple, were reported in Tiruchi.
