According to a report by Reuters, Connor Slocombe a twelve-year-old from Alaska won the 42nd National Rotten Sneaker Contest held in New York on Tuesday. Slocombe, who won $2,500, was participating in the smelliest sneaker contest for the fourth time. The competition was started in 1974 by a sporting goods store owner who wanted to promote a new line of sneakers.
