100kg gold coin stolen in Berlin

A 100 kg solid gold coin worth around $4.5 million was reportedly stolen from the Bode Museum in Berlin on Monday. According to reports, the coin was stolen using a rope, a fold out ladder and a wheelbarrow. Nicknamed the "Big Maple Leaf," the coin was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2007. The coin also holds a place in the Guinness Book of Records for its "unmatched" purity of 999.99/1000 gold.
