A thug with a conscience in Polladhavan, a Kabbadi coach in Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu, a sinewy cop and a caring father in Haridaas, Kishore fits into any role assigned to him and executes them to perfection. With his tough appearance, powerful voice and some extraordinary acting talent to top it up, Kishore has turned himself into a favorite choice for all directors.
His performances in Haridaas and Vana Yudham, a biopic of Veerappan, in which he played the man himself, stood out as brilliant individual performances last year (2013) thus earning him the Behindwoods Gold Medal for Best Acting Performance.
Kishore was very humble to divert all the credits to his director.
“I am just a tool,” he said after receiving the medal. “I am a director’s actor. I did exactly what the director told me. I think the film and the director is much greater than the actor”
Actors like Kishore are a boon to the industry. We congratulate him for the good work and wish him the best of luck for his future endeavors.
