As a die hard fan of Vijay since 1997, I am really disappointed with Vijay these days. I have always admired Vijay in those romantic comedy films which he used to act, but why a sudden change in him?

Rewind to 2002-2003 era. When mass masala movies were a big hit among the audience, Vijay was doing romantic comedies like Vassegara, Youth and at the same time did action movies like Tamilan and Bagavathy. But all did badly except for Youth because of the songs and a different story line.

Since movies like Saamy, Dhool and some mass masala movies were creating records at the box office then, Vijay chose to do scripts that has mass masala theme.

So thus Thirumalai, Ghilli, Madurey, Thirupachi, Sivakasi, Aathi and Pokkiri happened. Well in between, surprisingly, Sachien happened too. But after 2008, the audience taste changed; Tamil cinema went one level higher with movies like Dasavatharam, Vaaranam Aayiram, Subramaniapuram, Billa etc.

But what Vijay had to offer us- Kuruvi, Villu and now Sura. I would close one eye for Vettaikaran. If Vijay continues like this, he would definitely fall in the league of Top Stars fallen.

Every actor has definitely changed their acting style including Ajith and Vikram. Even Suriya who
has definitely set a strong hold at off beat films like Pithamagan, Kaakkha Kaakkha and Vaaranam Aayiram, mass movies like Ayan, Aadhavan and Vel also did very well too. Reason being Suriya not only changes his looks in every film but also the story line. Even Silambarasan whose career was built on mass masala movies had a Manmadhan in between and now VTV.

Every die hard fan of Vijay would say that Ghilli and Pokkiri were his best in recent times but who would agree with me that we miss the romantic dude from Kushi, Friends, Youth and Sachein?

Who would agree with me that they miss the rebel kid from Badri or the arrogant husband from Priyamaanavale?

Dear Vijay, if you are reading this, please do not do movies to satisfy your distributors, instead do movies that satisfy your die hard fans who once enjoyed your films but not anymore if another "Sura" turns up.

I hope the Sura fiasco would be a learning lesson for him and hope he would do movies with taste, realism and most importantly satisfying his fans....
In fact let’s take this as a blessing in disguise
