Lingusamy
has tried to conquer our hearts with Paiyaa
but has not fully accomplished it.
The movie begins with hype for hero Karthi,
who dons the role of Shiva. He as usual
is an irresponsible and unemployed lad
freaking out with friends. And once he
happens to see Tamannah who comes as Charulatha,
he instantly falls for her and happens
to see her in an interview hall. He misses
his interview by following her. But still
he does not get any clue or idea about
her. It his then by chance she happens
to travel in his car. And from there onwards
the story moves along with the car to
Mumbai. Meanwhile Karthi comes to know
that a gang is following Tamannah. So
he tries to safeguard her and help her
reach Mumbai but then she comes to know
that Karthi has some group against him
in Mumbai. So both escape from both the
gangs and reach Mumbai. When he finally
drops her at her place he realizes that
he has a true love on her. And finally
the story ends with how they both pair
up after overcoming all the troubles due
to the mafia gangs following them.
Screenplay and music are only the two
plus points for the movies. Though Yuvan
had lightly copied the song ‘suthuthe’
from” My oh my “of aqua it
still gives us a good feel. Karthi has
tried a different role for the first time
which does not suit him perfectly though.
Tamannah’s scope for acting, in
the movie is very less. |
