Kamal
movie. Madhavan's Scenes and the Last 45 Minutes is
a pure Rollicking Comedy and I was Literally Laughing
out Loud.
Some Questions like, "When did your love blossom
in you Major R. Mannar?" - Though after the end
of the Stage Show, Kamal's love for Trisha is revealed,
but immediately the next second, Kamal contradicts
it and leaves us confusing. But "Madhavan blackmailing
Sangeetha to love is Love?" arising at the end
of the movie does send a wrong message to the youth,
according to the people! - For me, 'Never Mind! Watch
it as a Film because its a Film, People!'
When a Film was reaching its "emotional peak",
Why did Kamal choose to let it down in a highly decreasing
rate and end it up like a Slapstick Laugh-out-Loud
Comedy movie?! is another Question many are asking.
Coming to Performances, Kamal Haasan plays a matured
subdued performance similar to Rajni Chandramukhi
and scores big time. Madhavan takes center-stage and
has a meaty role. Madhavan steals the show big time
and Trisha is good in her role. Sangeetha is another
person who steals the show, with some witty acting.
The Kid, Master Aashish, who plays Vish - Sangeetha's
Child, reminds you of Chakri Toleti (Director of Unnaipol
Oruvan) in Saagara Sangamam. Mohan Das and Manju Pillai
play a neat role and are funny from the word Action.
Others like Usha Uthup, Ramesh Aravind, Urvashi and
the rest are good.
Cinematography by Manush Nandan is Excellent and Crisp
but is Spoilt by some careless Editing by Shan Mohammed.
Devi Sree Prasad's Background Score Impresses. Opening
Credits Song "Bhoologam..." sung by the
Composer himself, which is sadly missing in the album,
is very pleasant and is a perfect Feel-Good start
to the film. Neela Vaanam is one of the best picturised
songs in Reverse-Mood, which deserves a Standing Ovation.
Hats off to Kamal's Experiment! Dialogues by Kamal
Haasan are good and neat. Lots of shades of Crazy
Mohan writing is heard in dialogues, especially in
the second half. Lyrics by Kamal Haasan stands out
especially 'Kamal Kavithai' which comes in a very
important part of the film, where Trisha tells Kamal,
"What I am feeling is Real? Can I pinch you and
check if it is real? Oh wait, Anyway I dont want to
end this, even if its a dream, I want to be in this
dream land for a little longer time." and kisses
Kamal in his hand. This is a Spoiler, not shown in
India, but a very vital scene.
Verdict: I am not saying the movie
is bad, I am just saying, it would have been better
if the script(mainly the second half) was a tad stronger.
We expect mastery from some one like Kamal, not just
Pure Entertainment. It will please the A-Centers for
sure and it will be a new experience, sometimes may
be too much, for a B or a C Center audience. Dont
Expect an out-and-out Comedy movie here like Panchathanthiram
or Thenali, Yet Kamal HAASAN hits Bulls Eye with this
ManMadhan'AMBU'.
Though I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of ManMadhanAmbu,
This Jolly trip could have been even more memorable.
A treat for the Family Audiences and every film goer
in general. Its a Must Watch and a Sure Shot hit this
Season!
I am going to give it 3.75/5(first viewing = Excited
Watch with Major Observations) + 2.75/5(Second Viewing
= Close Observations) + 4/5(Third Viewing = SUPER
FUN) = 10.5/15 = 3.5/5.
