INCEPTION
is more than just a masterpiece; it’s
more than just your regular summer blockbuster
providing some genuine movie magic. Here
is a motion picture that is just insanely
brilliant, a flawless symphony of thoughts
and ideas taking form, engulfing you,
making sure your brain is on red alert
throughout its run time and also blowing
it up at the culmination of it all, leaving
you so awed that you are left to doubt
the capacity of any other movie to have
a similar effect on you in the future.
Set in a world where technology exists
to enter the sub-conscious human mind
through dream invasion, where ideas can
be stolen and used in corporate espionage,
Cobb (Di Caprio), a calculative thief
and a fugitive on the run is given a second
chance at redemption when he is assigned
with the task of "inception",
that is, planting a new idea in someone's
head rather than stealing existing ones.
Christopher Nolan has proved once again
why he is referred to the modern master
of movie making. Just simply coming up
with an idea like this would take an extraordinary
amount of intelligence, but then to mould
it, perfect it and present it so convincingly
that even the average movie goer manages
to understand most of it, if not all of
it, and reach out to its magnanimous depth?
Seriously, this guy's got to be from a
different planet.
