Hi,
I am a frequent visitor of Behindwoods.com.
I would like to share with you my predictions
of what the Endhiran story would be based
on the latest trailer released over the
last weekend.
1. Rajini is Dr. Vaseegaran, a robotics
expert who is deeply in love but has no
time for his girlfriend Aishwarya Rai
(Sana). The reason being Vaseegaran is
on the verge of a technical breakthrough
in creating the first Humanoid robot (Chitti).
Rajini’s crew consists of Santhanam,
Karunas and another small robot. Kaadhal
Anukkal song and Pudhiya Manidha are the
first two numbers in the movie with the
former explaining a scientist’s
love using his own terminology while the
latter would be a background number while
Chitti is being created.
2. Enter Chitti-Vaseegaran makes Chitti
in his image. Chitti is the perfect citizen
with ethical and moral values and has
the capability to learn from the humans
he encounters. Basically a naturally evolving
A.I. Vaseegaran lets Chitti interact with
other people. We can see Chitti help people
getting ready, cook, teach Karate etc.
Everything goes as per Vaseegaran’s
plan of using Chitti for the good of the
public. We can see Chitti rescuing a kid
from fire and bash some thugs in the train.
Trouble comes when Aishwarya Rai interacts
closely with Chitti. Aishwarya Rai does
so

innocently because Chitti is just a machine as he
resembles her true love, Vaseegaran. However this
causes ripples in Chitti's A.I and he starts developing
emotions for Aish. Here we get the Irumbile oru Irudhayam
song.
3. Chitti starts behaving like a teen in love. Changes
hairstyle and tries to impress Aish. Chitti dance
number takes place in a party where Chitti impresses
the crowd with his dance moves and finally proposes
to Aishwarya. When she refuses, Chitti decides to
become adamant and threatens to go rogue. We can see
Vasi and Aish trying to talk sense into Chitti and
make him understand that he is just a robot. But Chitti
starts arguing against his creator. Vaseegaran realizes
that it might become messy and decides to terminate
Chitti. This is not shown in the trailer but we can
see a damaged Chitti lying in the waste yard.
4. Vaseegaran thinks that Chitti is destroyed and
proceeds with marrying Aishwarya. However Chitti is
salvaged by Danny Dezongpa, a rival robotics engineer
who brainwashes Chitti and reverse engineers Chitti
to make more such robots. He repairs Chitti and gives
him the new look. Chitti then goes and kidnaps Aishwarya
from the marriage hall and takes her away. In the
meantime Danny makes many Chitti clones and cooks
up some sinister plan. Aish realizing that she is
trapped decides to play along with Chitti and acts
like she is in love with him. This is clear from the
scenes in the trailer where Aishwarya moves closely
with the New Chitti. Here we have the Arima Arima
song. Aish makes Chitti understand the evil intentions
of Danny and reminds him his true purpose. She uses
Chitti to spoil Danny's plans.
5. When Chitti confronts Danny he threatens to kill
Aish, which enrages Chitti. Also Danny unleashes his
Chitti clone army on the city, where they cause a
rampage. Chitti finally comes back to his senses and
singlehandedly takes on the clones. You can see that
the costumes of Chitti are in a light grey shade where
as his clones wear a darker outfit. This justifies
Chitti wielding multiple machine guns, toppling gas
trucks etc. Finally Chitti destroys all the clones,
the evil scientist and am sure that in the process
Chitti sacrifices his life to save Aish. All is well
and Vasi and Aish are united. Or do they...am sure
Shankar has a surprise twist somewhere here.
Here's to waiting for the Endhiran Juggernaut.
