As
we know, ENDHIRAN is the most awaited
movie for South Indian film lovers. Not
just because of Shankar and Rajini alone,
also because of its genre and technical
standards. Tamil cinema is lucky enough
to have directors like Shankar and Mani
Ratnam, who were responsible for Kollywood's
international recognition, through their
scripting and technical standards.
But having said that, I have a small doubt
with this sentence "he is an one
man army", a dialogue pronounced
by Rajinikanth in ENDHIRAN's theatrical
trailer. As far as my knowledge is concerned
the article AN is preferred before a word
which starts with a VOWEL sound, rather
than a vowel. For example we say "A
UNIVERSITY" and "AN HOUR".
It doesn't mean U is not a vowel and H
is a vowel. Vowel sound is the thing which
matters. This might be a very minute issue
to be considered, but at the same time
ENDHIRAN is expected to be watched by
the whole world, as this is going to be
the costliest and proud film representing
INDIAN CINEMA.
Director Shankar should have definitely
considered this, as he is known for his
perfection in script. I would also love
to see SUN PICTURES opting for such films
which can bring revolution in Tamil cinema,
not just going for huge star cast or regular
masala flicks. As SUN PICTURES has got
a powerful tool i.e, media, which can
urge people to the theaters with their
frequent promos [in

common man's words "A BRAIN WASH"]. Because
cinema is not just a commercial business alone, it
is also a business to be done with a passion in film
making.
I personally have a great respect for the production
companies such as RED GIANT, AGS and CLOUD NINE, for
their passionate and brave moves in promoting good
films. Without these companies, Tamil cinema would
have been in danger of going 20 years back from the
present trend. AGS should be credited for opting to
produce a film like MADARASAPATTINAM, such a costliest
film which has no star to get the commercial openings.
And so is RED GIANT for its brave step in distributing
it. I expect the same from SUN PICTURES too in coming
days, as it has got more strength than any other film
production company. All the best for ENDHIRAN.
Thank you,
