The movie had Ilaya Thlapathy Vijay in the
pilot role and was a remake version of the
Telugu movie
Okkadu,directed
by Dharani and produced by A.M.Ratnam under
the banner Sri Surya Movies. The whole story
revolves around Trisha; a girl, who was compelled
to marry a scoundrel, flees with Vijay to save
her own life. Trisha was looking dazzling in
this film. Her performance in the climax along
with Prakash Raj was astounding
