"Chellamey" review:

Reema Sen tops in the film "Chellamey". An exclusive review,

A one of a kind movie which shows Reema Sen’s acting capabilities; “Chellamey” is a unique new concept to the southern film industry. Starring Reema Sen, new face Vishal and “Boys” Bharath in a triangular love story blended in a different fashion.

Reema Sen stars as “Mythili”. She is the neighbor of Bharath (“Vishwa”), who has lost his mother and lives by the shelter of his rich father. Mythili engages in a relationship with Vishwa in a Sister-Brother concern. But, Vishwa seems to be more possessive towards her and always treats her as his own in his dreams.

Trouble starts, when “Raghunandhan” (Vishal), a smart income tax officer comes by for a routine check in the neighborhood, and naturally seeing Mythili, falls in love with her. They both marry after some time and settle in Goa.

Meanwhile, Vishwa who is more possessive of Mythili, comes in search for her. He kidnaps her and brings her to a beach house in Mahabalipuram. He also develops enmity with Raghunandhan, who is the only barrier standing between him and Mythili.

The remaining part of the story is told in a cinematic fashion up to the climax.

This is the first ever Tamil film for Reema, which have actually given her a chance to prove her talents. Be it the romance or the final sentiments nor the usual glamour pitch, she is truly at her impressive-best in the movie.

New face, Vishal is handsome and manly and suits really well for the heroic stuff.

Bharath, is yet another topper of his class. He is impeccable enough to bring out the character of a youth who is longing for love and affection.

Vivek takes care of the comedy department. He works under the income tax department, and brings down the roof through a ton load of comedy.

The film is directed by A.R.Gandhi Krishna.

Again, the film has scored in terms of music and cinematography. The well deserved candidates for these rewards are Harrish Jayaraj for his sweet music and K.V.Anand for his splendid camera work and lighting.

“Chellamey” is surely an impressive movie, targeted towards the youth and the middle aged.
