Rajini
goes to Tirupathi on a thanksgiving
visit ahead of celebrations

The
silver jubilee celebrations
of Chandramukhi
will be held today
at Chennai. So, Rajini
went out on a short
visit to temples to
thank the divine powers.
He was in Tirupathi
recently and left
for
Melmaruvathur yesterday.
He was given in the
Poornakumba welcome
there and prayed at
the sanctum sanctorum.
He also met Bangaru
Adigalar and sought
his blessings. Rajinikanth
was accompanied by Prabu,
Ramkumar and P.Vasu.
At the celebration,
veteran playback singer
T.M. Soundarrajan will
be given the Dr.Sivaji
Memorial award and a
cash prize of Rs. 50,000.
There will also be a
dance programme featuring
songs from Murattukkalai,
Muthu, Arunachalam,
Padayappa and Badsha.
